Joanne has worked in marketing and executive communications throughout her career. She currently supports the Chairman and CEO of a large global technology company.
She was born and raised in Northeast Ohio, where she began her career as a consultant working with Japanese expatriates. Her fascination with the language and culture led her to write her first book, Beginner’s Japanese, as well as earn an MBA in International Business.
After life took an unexpected turn and an opportunity with a large technology company arose, she moved to New York City in the late 90’s where she lived, worked and thrived for many years. Her second book, Say a Little Prayer, was published during this time. Most of it was written during business trip flights to Asia and Australia. After all, one can only watch movies, catch up on email and sleep for so long on 14-hour journeys!
She currently resides in New York City with her husband, daughter and their sweet little shih tzu Sadie. Her favorite place to pray is in Central Park.
